Image not apearing when exported to pdf

i'm working on document in InDesign CS5. When i export it to adobe pdf some of the images (JPGs & shapes created with shape tool in InDesign) don't appear in the pdf. Most do apear but some don't and i'm not aware of doing anything different in creating the various images.

Has this happened to anyone? Any ideas as to how to fix?
