InDesign CS4 printing
by William Coats on Aug 28, 2009 at 3:45:20 pm

I am trying to figure out how to get this CS4 version to use the document name when printing to a Harlequin RIP. The CS3 version did this and I don't remember having to make any special settings to do this.

We had this same problem with CS2, but after we upgraded to CS3 it worked fine. I don't think that there are any preferences or options to make this happen. It must be some way that the data is conveyed to the RIP. With CS2, I had always assumed it was the RIPs problem (since it is an older software version). Sorry I don't have the answer, but an Adobe tech may be able to help over on their forums.
