Hello Group,

I hope someone has an answer for me as I have a client that will kill me if I don't have a piece ready tomorrow morning.

I don't want to die!

I have (NTSC) video in my PC based edit suite. I need to export that piece to FCP (HD), although it will stay in the SD format.

I've done many transfers to AVID using the QT Meridien codec at 2:1 with consistent success.

Will FCP accept the AVID QT or is there a better, easier solution?

Thanks for any help offered,

Paul Winterton
Vancouver

Use the Animation codec. The file size will be big, but it will get you from a PC to a MAC. My understanding is that the Avid Codecs don't play well with FCP anymore.

Cheers
