After installing the CS6 3.1 update, I'm only seeing the MPEG-2 I-frame preset in PP CS6.
Updated OS X to 10.7.4
Updated CS6 to 6.0.1

Did they take the presets out of setup?

Please tell me where to download the drivers for Premiere Pro CS6.
I can't find them anywhere on Matrox's website.

Thank you Andy.
I couldn't see the 7.0 drivers because they were blocked by my browser.
Now everything is pretty much back to normal.

I would like an answer to that question too! Seems the question morphed into something else. Any luck?

This is the question I was referring to. I am experiencing playback and audio issues. Am I supposed to set up a Matrox sequence? I'm not seeing a setup for it.

Hey Bob
As I understand it, with the Adobe Transmit functionality in CS6 specific I/O presets are no longer necessary, instead you work in whichever sequence you want to ... you target the Matrox box as your output device in the Playback Preferences as a general/universal setting, not just for a particular sequence.
Hope that helps
Andy

Does Andy know if Matrox plans to put the Ventura Capture utility in the next Mac CS6 driver update?
Or can the MXO2 utilities be downloaded separately?
Thanks

Hi Kuhnen

In a word, yes ... or at least, I do know for certain that the Matrox standalone Vetura capture and playback app for Mac is definitely coming back, but I don't have any inside track as to in which release they will resurface ... but if you check out the Matrox FCP X support page it's noted there that both Capture and Print To Tape (via their Vetura app) is "coming soon".

http://www.matrox.com/video/en/solutions/fcp_x/

For reference, the original Vetura app releases were built (like FCP) on the 32-bit Quicktime architecture. Since the 3.0 driver release, Matrox have moved further development to the much more modern 64-bit CoreIO architecture, which meant rewriting Vetura from scratch as well. I'm guessing that it was a priority for them to get the host NLE I/O drivers out first though, before worrying about their own supporting apps. They haven't been forgotten though.

In the meantime, anyone working with the 3.0 drivers (using Avid Media Composer) or 3.1 drivers (using Adobe Premiere CS6) should find that they can now use the host application's built in capture and print to tape toolset to capture and layoff via their MXO2 hardware, so theirs always that ;)

Hope that's helpful
Andy

The real problem for me is the new Matrox drivers that support PremierPro6 do not support FCP 7. That's a big problem for many of us who are trying to switch to PPCS6 but have to maintain ability to use FCP7. Is this just not possible for Matrox to create one set of drivers that can handle this? It seems like people who use AJA, Blackmagic products are not having this situation. I just want to be able to use these 2 NLE's and be able to display to ref. monitor. Asking too much??....

I'm looking forward to the day when they bring H.264 Capture over to the Mac so i can get rid of bootcamp. Also does parallels recognize MX02 PCI Express Card on the MacBook Pro?
