 | Adobe rears its ugly head!

Adobe rears its ugly head! Yep if I am streaming using Flash media encoder and MX02LE with Max most browsers can handle the picture.
Today during my first ever publicly broadcast streaming of a horse race on the net one unhappy lady could not stream on her i pad. Now had heard of this but not experienced it. Now I have experienced this I am on the hunt for a different encoder (not Adobe "Flash Media Encoder") cause of course Mac doesn't play this. Interesting because MAX encodes to h264 'faster than realtime' which is native to Mac so it is really the Adobe Flash media encoder and the streaming server operation ie 'Ustream' that is to blame. Anyone heard of any alternatives? This would have to be both streaming services as well as encoders. Youtube has a streaming service but I don't think I can afford it.

I think I'd re-title this "Apple rears it's ugly head!" since they're the ones who threw out the baby with the bathwater.

yep though I am not a fan of Adobe either since they destroyed 'Cool Edit Pro'
But I will change it Lyn. Really though if Apple is the biggest company on the NYSE then who's to say they are the culprits?
