Matrox Gurus, - I posted this 10 days ago and no one replied thought I'd try it again, please.

We work on features and have a Matrox Max card for fast H264 files. Problem, when I cut on FCP, I can make a QT ref file, and use Maxx to add a 'property of ' burn in. But QT ref files from Avid do not make supers in Maxx. So I render a full hour burn in first to QT before going to Maxx. This wastes time.

Someone said Sorensen can take the Avid file and make a QT ref file. Will that QT ref file work with Maxx then to add a burn in?

What workflow do you recommmend when using Avid?

Thanks, Film Joe

Thanks, Film Joe

I add the TC filter, then export directly to H.264 from the Avid using the H.264 MATROX MAX option. When you look in the FORMATS, you will see an H.264 with Matrox or MAX after it. Use that and it enables the box.
