Rendering difference between Apple ProRes and Matrox ProRes?

Rendering difference between Apple ProRes and Matrox ProRes?

I've been working on a 720p project with most of the assets in Apple ProRes. I just got a new Mini w MAX and I was wondering if 720p ProRes captured or re-compressed with the Mini would run on the same timeline in FCP without any rendering. Basically is Matrox ProRes the same as Apple ProRes from a FCP rendering POV?

ProRes is ProRes. There is no such thing as MATROX ProRes. Apple wrote the codec. The MATROX name (or AJA, or Blackmagic if you use the other cards) just indicate that you are capturing the footage via your hardware. That's it.

Gotcha, at first I was confused because they have a specific timeline pre-set for FCP, but on closer inspection I realized this just refers to monitoring and input/output. This is what threw me... Thanks Shane.
