Any one else find the Compress HD card on a PC was not nearly up to the hype?
-No direct control for altering specified data rates
-bound by presets
-no where near 1:1 compression times on HD source media
I am completely open to being to told I am wrong on this one and being told how to make this work. Otherwise I got an RMA # and will continue to look for a product that does what this card was supposed to do.
REALLY wanted this to work.

Hello,
You seem to be having some issues with your card, but let me reassure you that the product does deliver.
Allow me to elaborate on your specific concerns;
-No direct control for altering specified data rates
** The data rates are completely configurable. You can dial them up to 20Mbps.
-bound by presets
** Although Matrox does provide presets, all can be modified or you can create your own.
-no where near 1:1 compression times on HD source media
** Can you tell us a little more about your workflow. Systems specs, source material, are you exporting a sequence, converting a file, are you editing while compressing, etc ....
The CompressHD is a flexible/configurable tool that can gets your H.264 jobs done. I am not sure why you are unable to adjust the parameters of compression, but I'm confident we can get that straightened out.

I am following up with a very helpful tech on my issue. I have to say I appreciate the diligence and Matrox is doing a hell of a job making me feel like a VIP. All this, the rave reviews and the promise of what this card can do make me not want to give up on this. Doing all I can with Matrox's help to get this working for me!
