Presentation mode
by Francois Xavier Noulens on Jul 3, 2009 at 6:41:30 pm

a Dvd Studio Pro and Mxo 1 thougt

when sending photos, graphics, even film images, from your working space on an external monitor you trust ...

I have always tried to figure ...

should I "out-visualize" them with a "flatten desktop " , low gamma 1.8, ? Because in that mode of representation, the desktop really comes in the way...

maybe I am better of with just the video out function of Photoshop ?

Hi Francois, when creating the color profile, you must select 2.2 for the target gamma, and 6500 °K (D65) for the target white point. These settings are required for broadcast video.

As for your second question, could you please elaborate on what you mean by: ("out-visualize" them with a "flatten desktop") so we can better address your question?

Regards,
Bassel

What I mean is :
ok I understand 2.2 for the target gamma, and 6500 °K (D65) for the target white point. These settings are required for broadcast video.

I have done it already for viewing on my ADC 23" out of Fcp or After Fx.

I just wandered if it was the same for presentation mode. When I want to preview Dvc Studio Pro for instance.

Yes if you're delivering video then you must select 2.2 for the target gamma, if not, then 1.8 should be used. Please contact our Technical Support Team if you have any additional questions:
