i'm a touch confused on the "Blu-Ray compliant H.264 from Compressor" that Matrox is claiming with the CompressHD. as far as i know, you can only create MPEG-2s for Blu-Ray with Compressor. how do you make a Blu-Ray H.264 with Compressor? can you only do it if you have CompressHD?
thanks

According to Matrox spec sheet online, CompressHD will come with "Matrox presets" for various encoding jobs like AppleTV, iPod, YouTube, HD 1080i/p, etc.
So if Matrox says you will be able to create H.264 files for Blu-ray with Compressor, it means using their included presets with CompressHD.

I had a chance to test out the Matrox YouTube Preset with the CompressHD card. Amazing that it is faster than buying a new $6k computer. This video is compressed using the 1280x720p Preset in Compressor. It's right around real time if you're dealing with 1080i60 ProRes footage.
