The only way to incorporate Quicktime or regular AVI movie clips on the timeline is to render them constantly everytime you make a change...?!?! Matrox has no utility to convert a imported Quicktime .MOV file (or AVI) to the "Special" Matrox.AVI file you end up with when you capture a file off of tape. Matrox creates a special wrapper. This "Wrapper" process does not happen if you just "Import" a Quicktime or other AVI file from a hard drive or DVD. So what you end up with is a imported clip on the timeline that whenever you move it or make any change to it no matter how small, you have to re-render it over and over..... Using a converter software like Debabelizer, etc., can make a AVI file from a Quicktime file, but does not have the special "Wrapper" instructions for Matrox to use.... Does anyone know what to do? Matrox said they didn't!!! Thank you

We simply put the clip on the timeline, and save it as a movie. It is faster than realtime.
This is our normal workflow for any assets given to us from other sources.
