Workshop versus Factory

I've been using DVDWS2 for years. It's so easy to use, that I've never felt like moving on to something else. I'm wondering though, is the scaled down version (MovieFactory) now as good as or even better than DVDWS2? Seems like it would be, considering they stopped updating Workshop 3+ years ago, but they keep updating the scaled down Factory version.

It's a tough call when comparing these two packages -- because they both have features that are missing in the other...
DVDWS will give you full control over menu setup and navigation, and also some Title Playlist functionality (i.e. play this Title, then this Title, then go to this menu...). You also get multiple subs and audio streams in DVDWS.
MovieFactory uses menu "Wizards" (or templates) that can be customized a little bit, but you don't have the full control for menus as you do in DVDWS. The benefits of MF are that it has:
-builtin 16:9 menus
-basic HD-DVD and BD authoring (although HD-DVD is questionable going forward)
-a "basic" edit room (you can quickly enhance some raw footage by adding "themes" with intro/outro and titles)
-the PLUS version has some other disc utilities
-ability to change the project from NTSC to PAL, and have everything adjust accordingly (good for the "casual" use -- although the standards conversion might be better in dedicated standards-conversion software/hardware)
There are other differences -- these are the "big" ones that come to mind at the moment...
