Burning at 16x

I got a new DVD burner a sony that will go up to 16X speed. But workshop is showing it at only 6.4x speed. I went to the ulead site and downloaded all the patches I could find, but it still isn't going to 16x speed. Any ideas?

This depends on two things, your drive speed and your media speed. DVD-R media is also speed rated. Is the media you are trying burn onto rated for 16x burning?

I assume you are using DVD disks which are rated at 16x
