 | PAL to NTSC software/technique
by Angelina on Oct 20, 2005 at 11:58:52 am |
Hi there,
I am working with creating SVHS PAL tapes into PAL DVD's through Adobe Premiere 6.5 on a PC.
Actually what we would like is making the NTSC master DVD's from the PAL tapes.
I am in India and experimented with some software and the result was too bad...the whole video on DVD was greenish!
Please suggest something which I can use.
Thanks.

The most reliable "converter" that i have found to date is Canopus Procoder ...current version is 2.
It will convert any format to any other format.
The major reason that i like this software is that the output files comply perfectly with the standard.
I have never had flicker or field problems with this software and mpeg2 files on DVD are real smooth.
It also has a built in DVD master format.
The picture quality may not be up to that of TMPGEnc or Cinecraft.
The other consideration is how you will get from SVHS to digital format as the method you choose will affect the final quality.
Cheers
GReg
