AXIO and CS3 come through
by Pat McGowan on May 7, 2008 at 2:20:18 am

We just did our first offsite editing gig with one of our AXIO machines. The system was rock solid and the interoperability within CS3 really came in handy with lots of different sources being thrown at us on a tight deadline for a live event.

Pat -

Glad to hear things are going well for you!

I'd expect no less ... from either you OR your Axio(s). How many systems do you have now?

We've cranked out a number of the new AxioLE2 3.5 systems since NAB, and they're doing a great job in every case. Adobe's CS3 (ver 3.2) is a sweet suite!

Good to know. Question: With the new MXF and format agnostism of the latest CS3 upgrades do you see a way to do the same sort of thing with a hot PC laptop system? You wouldn't have the same sort of RT functionality as with the Axio, but do you think that it's do-able?

Yes and no. The M-Keys are great but the shole proxy editing thing is not there yet. Maybe CS4?
