I need some information on new sata arrays. Best products, best companies, decent prices. Need to be economical, but quality is most important. Do mostly HDCAM uncompressed. Running FCP 6.0.6 on Mac G5. Any direction is greatly appreciated. Mahalo.

easy answer -
every advertiser on Creative Cow of storage products makes the best arrays, and are the best companies. You have an old G5, so most of the new products will have host adaptors that are PCIe (not PCI-X like in your G5), so you won't be able to use a new array with your old computer, because of the host adaptor card.
There is not a single advertiser on Creative Cow that can't do over 200MB/sec, which is what you need for uncompressed HD.

Hey Mick,
If you are after SATA products you should check out Maxx Digital's EvoVR. It has a quad interface: firewire 400, 800, USB, and SATA (I have one myself). They have other products too including external drives and RAID storage. I use them because whenever I'm in a bind or need something in a hurry they have no problems getting whatever you need, customer service is their number one priority.
Just thought I would give my opinion :)
Cheers
