Sony PSF 29.97

I have a shoot tomorrow. I am not familiar with the Sony camera frame rates/formats. I will be doing extensive tracking with this footage, and would like to avoid shooting fields. I was offered SONY PSF which they said would be the same as 1920x1080 Progressive at 30(29.97)fps.

I am wondering if there is any quality loss, or problems working with footage in PSF that I should know about or should I just let him shoot 59.45fps and interlaced?
