Do I need to by an HD UV lens?

I have a cheap UV lens that came with my old PV GS500, now I have a Panasonic HDC-TM300.

Do I need to buy an HD UV lens or does it not matter when it comes to UV lenses.

I don't want to lose any clarity in my video quality. I know that certain lenses; wide angle, telephoto, etc. Have to be HD in order to keep the quality.

Does this apply to UV?

do you mean a UV filter? any decent quality filter will do. Get a Tiffen or Hoya UV filter and you won't be sorry.
