59.94 Network Deliverables

I am about to start editing a show for broadcast and this is the first time that I am working with HD.
The show is being shot on DVCPro 100 at 720p59.94 and delivered on HDCam SR at 1080i59.94. I am editing the offline on FCP6 and the online is being done at another post house. I am also using the AJA Kona LHe and the Panasonic 1400 Deck.
I am planning to use the easy setup AJA Kona LH-720p60 DVCProHD to capture. I will then be editing on a sequence that has the edit timebase of 59.94. As part of the network deliverables, I have to supply a textless elements list and various other paperwork that pertains to the timecode on the HDCAM SR tape that gets delivered. If my sequence is 59.94 and the tape is played at 29.97 then the info on the paperwork won't match. For instance, if on my sequence, a lower third lands on 01:10:00:58 that timecode won't exists on the tape that the network looks at.
Does anyone know the work around for this issue? Since the online is being done out of house I won't be getting the final HDCAM SR tape before it goes to the network.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Natalie

Hi Natalie,
You mentioned that "The show is being shot on DVCPro 100 at 720p 59.94 and delivered on HDCam SR at 1080i 59.94", so it appears that the time base is uniform from start to finish. You shouldn't have any issues.
As an aside, and I could be wrong here but, if you're only doing the offline edit and another facility is doing the online then the issues you have flagged are not your problem.
If I'm missing something and others have more correct info, please feel free to chime in.

Kris is right. If the DVC Pro100 is imported natively, once it goes to the project timeline set to 1080i it gets upconverted. The frame rate never changes.

Hey Natalie,
2 things, first you have 2 tools that will make your life easy. The LHe accepts a ton of frame rates & frame sizes. Second the 1400, in menu 632 it allows you to cross convert to 1080i 59.94. I'm assuming you are going to edit in Pro Res 422...Save yourself lots of headaches. Digitize at 1080i,offline in Pro Res 422....
Kris is also right...the Online house is the one who is responsible for the cleans...they are adding the titles & FX so they should track that. We just finished 5 seasons of a series doing this and it worked flawlessly.

Thanks everyone for your input but I found out today that I can change the 59.94 sequence to show 29.97 by right clicking on the tc box on the sequence and selecting 60@30. Now my 59.94 footage reads as 29.97 in the sequence and all my paperwork will correspond with the final tape.
