 | HDCAM-SR Digitizing to Online Settings?

Hey Guys,
First of all, just wanted to say thank you to all those who contributed to helping me figure how to downconvert from 23.97 HD to NTSC. It took a couple weeks to play with the settings and several test runs but I finally got it! Whoo Hoo!
Now, as we are getting ready to finalize projects in HD, I need to figure out how to patch the SR deck to my online bay for digitizing and then figure out how we can layback to the SR tape with a completed HD project.
Are there settings that will need to be altered for each process? Or can I simply just patch it via patch bay? I've tried to research the manual but it is way too complicated for me to make heads or tails of it.
Your thoughts?
