Client Monitor Recommendations
by Larry Sherwood on Nov 13, 2007 at 12:48:56 am

I need to have a 50" Plasma or LCD in my bay for clients to view. The projects will always be 23.98 or 24 frame. Does anyone have real-life experience with any plasma or LCD's that actually support 23.98 or 24 fps via HD-SDI or Component HD? It must be a 50" monitor . . .video will come from an AJA BOB or DNA DNXcel board

Thanx for any and all advice
LS

this is the monitor that APPLE, AJA, and Blackmagic use at the NAB show. Is it "good enough" - you tell me.

Thanks Bob, any idea how the 10UK compares with the 9UK? There are some good deals on the 9UK right now but you need to buy the optional HD-SDI board to get 23.98 support.

Thanx

I own a 50" 9UK and the difference between it and a 10UK are not really significant as far as I can tell.

You can feed it via component (comes with a component blade)
or HDMI (optional blade) but its probably a waste of money getting the HD-SDI blade.

Regardless of what or how you feed it, the display outputs 720P 60.
