Monitoring DVCPRO HD from FCP
by Jules Ball on May 10, 2007 at 12:45:04 am

Hi guys!

Natively I shot in HDV and converted to DVCPRO HD.
I wanted to know if it was possible to monitor DVCPRO HD through firewire through a SONY HDV deck (HVR-M10U) on a monitor. Doesen't needs to be monitored in HD, cuz I just need to do a color grading.
Will I be able then to print it on a HDV tape with the same deck through firewire?

Thanks in advance guys.

Jules

No you need a capture card like a AJA or blackmagic

What about having just the still frames of my timeline? Will they appear on the monitor? That might be enough for me to do a grading for now, concerning the emergency of my problem.

Thanks
