F900 offline to online workflow

Hi,
I may be cutting a show shot on an F900 at 23.98 fps on HDCAM tapes. We don't have a capture card, Raid, or HD deck available. We were thinking of downconverting to to DVCAM with a timecode burnin (at 29.97 and 23.98), cutting off-line with this in FCP 5.1.2 and then exporting the EDL for on-line.
is anyone familiar with this workflow, including the sequence setting and reverse telecine information?

Hey Rachel.
I noticed that this is your first post (Welcome to the Cow). It would really help if you filled in the details on your profile or let us know where you are based and what kind of project your doing.

I am working on a program at the moment with HDCam shot at 25psf. I captured the rushes for the editor from a JH3 into a Decklink HD Pro card which did a downconvert to SD DV codec in FCP. So no wasted time dubbing tapes with the risk of wrong timecode.
Rushes were then edited and the FCP project file delivered back to me and the online recaptured as HD Uncompresssed 4.2.2 .
In PAL this is good because there aren't frame rate differences ( 23.98 to 29.97). However, the straight to DV capture is a great way to save time and money and make sure the captures are absolutely frame accurate. Also we avoided EDLs by offlining and onlining with the same system.
