Panasonic or other 1920 LCD monitors?

Hi folks,
My client base is still doing mostly HD, so this is not yet a pressing need. I do engineering animation and some VFX and motion graphics for corporate/industrial productions. The Panasonic LCD preview monitors (w/ waveform display, etc) look like a cost-effective way to add HD monitoring. But: I have to wonder if anyone has heard rumors about similar monitors from Panny or others that use the newer 1920 pixel screens that are showing up in consumer devices. I don't like the idea of previewing on an interpolated image, especially if that will be obsolete in 6 months.
Just fishing for ideas.

For the easiest pixel-for-pixel solution, Dell or Apple or HP 23-24" LCDs all do full 1920 (max 1920x1200) and have analog component and DVI and VGA inputs.
The CRTs that are still available are pretty pricey if HD isn't bringing in a lot of revenue for you.
