Question about color accuracy on Sony 14L5/1 and Component Analog HD

Hi All,
I'm on a bit of a budget here. I need to buy a monitor that can act as both an SD and HD monitor and also be fairly color accurate. For the research I've done, I've found the Sony 14L5/1 to be that model.
I know it's not true HD. But most HD shows I've color corrected and onlined have ended up in SD, anyway.
Does anyone know if Component Analog HD really degrades the image? I wouldn't want to be over-saturating or over-brightening any colors if I don't need to. And I'm not CC'ing any features, mostly reality or docu-style TV.
I've pretty much ruled out DVI LCD displays because I find the SD to not look very good.
Currently, I CC shows from regular SD component on a 14M2U monitor and haven't experienced any problems. I use an AJA Io. The new HD online system will most likely be powered by Kona 2.

YUV analogue HD mainly affects resolution - the decrease in color precision is not critical. If we switch from digital to analogue HD on our monitors, the quality loss isn

Thanks for the great info. Yes, cabling is already in place and is high grade. Very excited about the potential for this monitor, as it will definitely save me oodles of dough! Just bought it yesterday from B&H.
