Marshall Monitors

How do the smaller Marshall TFT HD monitors survive the rigors of field use? They are not well extabilished yet in Europe. Their prices are hard to beat.

Michael,

I've been using a rackmounted set of three Marshalls (actually branded Ikegami) in my SD rack for several years and they seem robust enough to withstand the shaking and ratteling about they get in the truck and in rolling on and off road to the set and back.

The picture quality leaves a lot to be desired, but in my case, they are really just used as framing monitors for multicamera shoots. When a director must actually preview the shots we build him/her a stack of 8" monitors!
