I decided to (rename) change the name of a project that had lots of sequences. When I did this the project was blank as if I was new. How can I get the old project & it's sequences back. I worked for three months on this. I use avid liquid 7. Thanks, Jeff

I just checked this. If you right clicked and changed the name in the Open Project dialog box, you will see the result you have now. You cannot change Liquid project names. You must go back and put the name back exactly the way it was before you changed it, including the .project extension to get your project back and working again.
The only way to change the name of a project is to go to File>Manage Projects>Save a Copy and create a copy under the new name and then open that and use it for your project going forward.

Liquid projects are made up of two files. One is the .project file whose name you changed. Another is a locked file that actually contains the project information and has the same name as the .project file but without the .project extension. Find that file and rename the .project file to the same name but with the .project extension. The .project file is a 0 byte file, BTW.

I can't find anything in there that has 0 Bytes. How do I know if this is the default. I know I put rendering in an external drive. Can I find out some where in control panel. Thanks

Sorry, I can't help you anymore. Find out where your projects are stored on your hard drives (you can do that from withing Liquid by looking at the Open Project dialog and see where the files are located or do a drive search for *.project) and you will see each project is made up of two files as I explained earlier. Find the matching file to the one you changed and fix it. This is not that difficult.

No I still can't find it. I have looked everywhere & did a search, but there is nothing. Oh well I guess I'll start over. Thanks for all your help in this, Jeff
