Problems in EZ capture through firewire pro7.2

I'm hoping someone has a solution to this issue for me.

I upgraded a fresh install of liquid 7.0 to 7.2 and now whenever I use ez capture or the logging tool the video captures fine, however the audio is out of sync and plays at a faster rate than the video. The audio sounds like its playing 3-5x the speed of the video so you get the chipmunk type effect.

The video/audio plays fine while capturing, however when its captured it plays with the above symptoms in avid liquid and also external video players such as Windows Media Player and VLC Media Player.

I've tried to do a fresh install of Liquid program and the problem persists.

Thanks,
Sid

This is not a Liquid issue. You have some other program loaded on your system that has codecs that are interfering with Liquid. Try unloading all other video programs such as VLC Media Player and then reinstalling Liquid and see if that fixes it. If all else fails you will have to do a clean install of XP and not load those kinds of programs in the future. It is always best to have Liquid or any editing program on a clean install of XP for these reasons.

thanks for the reply Lew.

There were no new programs installed between liquid working correctly and the problems began. Infact, the system is a new XP system and has minimal programs installed on the hdd. Is there any other method you can think of? i've got no media players running in the task bar.

No. There is something that is installed on this system that is causing this. It is not a Liquid problem. Try uninstalling VLC and see if that helps.
