Hello,
Let me start by saying I am a newbie at this, so I need your technical advice.
I have just wrapped an avid liquid project and after exporting to DVD, all effects are distorted/green. I have now figured out it is because of my graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT).
Though, I still need to get the project to a DVD dub. I thought I could use a DVD Recorder via the breakout box. The only problem is, I can't get the Liquid signal to the DVR. When I hook a camera up via the breakout box, it works fine and communicates with the DVR. How can i get the Project to "output" to the DVR via the breakout box? I thought it could be as simple as plugging in to the CVBS Video out on the BB and connecting to the DVR and playing the project and it would record it.

What are the video input choices on the recorder? If it has component in, I would use that. You will have to start the timeline playing and then start the recorder but that should work.

the dvr only has a component out. i am using the rca on the video in.
is there anyway the breakout box might not be reading the output from liquid? the bb input works by capturing video, but could the output somehow not be getting the signal from liquid? I tested the output headphones and couldn't hear the audio of the project.

In the Liquid taskbar, there is a TV icon on the lower right side. That lets you select which output the Pro box uses. Have you got a PRO box output selected there?

Not until the patch comes out for the DX10 cards. Should be very soon.
You can try to temporarily turn down the acceleration on your video card and re-render your timeline and see if that helps. Some users say this has let them get a good DVD out. It is worth a try.
Right click on your XP desktop to open the Display Properties then click the Advanced button then click the Troubleshoot tab and move the slider down one notch. Then delete the render files for your sequence and let it re-render. See if the green flashes are gone. You could then try making a DVD from Liquid or use the recorder.
