light effect transistions

Can someone tell me where I can find light effects for transistions. I've seen other videographers work and they use these. For example, a glowing white light that gets brighter as one clip goes to the next clip. I've also seen white dissolves. I haven't found any of these in AL7. Thanks for your help. Bob

there just isn't much like that in al7 you will have to use adobe aftereffets but the new version of studio 11 with vita scene may soon give us a cheap easy way to acomplish some of this i hope

Use the "dissolve through color" editor. Set the color to white, or some other color and you will get that effect. It is in the RT transitions rack. I use it all the time for a flash effect between cuts.

If I'm not mistaken (sorry use a lot of apps and am not directly in front of Liquid at the moment) there is a lens flare filter...you could use that. You could also use as Lew suggested the dissolve through colour. You could also use color clips and dissolves, and you could use colour correction and blur to acheive this type of effect.
As Packman stated, you can do more in After Effects, but there is soooo much that you could do directly inside Liquid.
