Audio Sync issue with export to WMV

In 6.1 this was never a problem. But now it is. When I export a fused file to a WMV file, the audio goes out of sync about 2/3 through the video in the WMV file. IT is fully in sync on the timeline. The fused file is synced. Exports to mpeg keep the sync. However, exports to WMV lose sync after a couple of minutes. Start out fine, and then at some point the lips do not match anymore with the audio. I have used various presetsfor wmv and all fail to keep sync. Any ideas? I suppose I could just send my clients mpeg1 files, but a lot of them prefer the wmv files. Thanks for any ideas here.

That makes me think that the profile you've chosen is a different framerate than the timeline. Double check the settings. Framerates must match in order for the audio to stay in sync.

Thanks. That seems to be the problem. Now Solved! I guess I set my profile at 30 fps instead of 29.97. When in the 30fps profile the wmv encode options do not offer a 29.97 output either. I resolved it by using windows media encoder to take the 'fused' avi file out to wmv in 29.97. Again Thanks. I need to be careful about profile specs.

You are absolutely correct. This solved the problem. However, for some odd reason the only wmv frame rates offered in my export profiles are 30fps while 29.97 is needed to hold the audio in sync. I worked around this by using the windows media encoder on the avi fused file to achieve 29.97 frame rate export. What I need to do is figure out how to get wmv profiles with 29.97 into the L7 export for wmv screen. For now it appears the only profiles it sees are from an XPM file (for mov, wmv, mpg, etc) under /plugins/export/
I don't know. Maybe i should copy some of the PRX files under the windows media encoder to that folder?? Any ideas on how to modify the xpm files to carry different sets of profiles?
