Burning DVD with LE 6.1

Hi
Why does the DVD I burn with LE6.1 Pause during play back? A project one hour and 45 minutes pauses at lease 12 times for a few seconds from the start of the DVD to the end. If I give this to the customer I know here will be complain all over the place. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Is it stopping in the same location everytinme you play the DVD?

It could be your DVD player. Try it on several others.

How is your audio encoded? If you encoded using PCM audio and you are using LE 6.x, reencode with Dolby Digital (AC3) and see if that solves the problem.

When the DVD is played once the 12 or so pauses comes up at different times.

How is your audio encoded?
I used PCM. I wanted to use mpeg2 but, this might not work because so little space was use on the DVD with this option.

I will try the Dolby Digital (AC3) tonight.

Since you have 6.1, go back and reencode using Dolby Digital. My guess is your problem will disappear.

I know that this is the over simple answer but

Try cleaning your laser lense in the burner and reburn the DVD.

I find that many times this solves the 'pause' problem.

Thanks to g2g also nothing is ever too simple if it works I will do the cleaning also.
