I just asked in an email to BM. I think the thunderbolt certification process is backed up on the intel side. Just heard that the T-Tap won't be available till fall as well.

How backed up is their web guy? :) Time to update the site already. They had the same delay with the Intensity Extreme. How late was that? 3-4 months?

I had to drop $1,000 for another 3D to hold me over, I was hoping the Express would have been out by now too. B&H says August 30th (but it also said July, and June at some point...)

Well, they updated the website. Now it doesn't say shipping Q2. It says find reseller. I think that happened with the intensity extreme. I asked someone from BlackMagic at the time and they said that it had shipped, although nobody had it. Perhaps it's on a very slow boat.

Months back on B&H, I had selected to "Be notified" when it became available. Had not got that email yet.

Why thanks to me? I wouldn't pre order one. I'll be ordering from the first site that says "in stock.". I'd figure that bh would get a large supply though.

I think all the nab stuff, terranex, camera, express, got caught up in tbolt approvals. Hopefully shipping soon.

Just call bh and cancel. I did the same thing with the extreme. Pre ordered from Bh and cancelled and ordered from markertek. About a month after bh had them in stock, they "notified" me.

I got mine last week. No complaints, although in FCPX it seems to operate better with 'Better Performance" set in preferences.

What kind of crashes are you seeing? We can check into this on our end. Is there a specific workflow that seems to cause the crashes more frequently or any information that might help us reproduce this?

Hey Sarah, thanks for responding. The crashes are followed by a feedback pop up that says the crash was caused by the Ultrastudio Thunderbolt box. Usually we're just working of a NAS ethernet server / prores and making regular old edits and trims. Nothing particularly taxing.

I'll post exactly what it says on the next crash.

Hey Sarah. The header says "Final Cut Pro Quit unexpectedly while using the DeckLinkFcpxCMIO plugin."
