> Well, first off, those patterns are meant to calibrate your display. So, initially, I'd do that first.
This is exacly what I am trying to do, calibrate the display. This is what I am trying to find out how to do.
Also Not sure what you mean by 'these patterns'. The ones I think I need to use are at
http://www.avsforum.com/t/948496/avs-hd-709-blu-ray-mp4-calibration but the Blackmagic Media Express does not seem to play them (although it seems to import them OK.)
> To check your Intensity, you really need to send color bars through it, and output that to a scope.
Yes, the color bar test clips that come with drivers work, I don't have a scope and am not entirely sure what one is (although I can guess). Do you have a link to somewhere that will explain.
> If you don't have a scope, send color bars through it, ingest a few seconds, and then use the software scope via Premiere or FCP to check it out.
This sounds like a way of setting up the card for capture, this is not what I am using it for. I am using it to run a monitor so it is the monitor I am trying to set up. The monitor has lots of setting, the Intensity Pro very few.
> Make corrections via the Blackmagic Control Panel, and keep trying until you get it correct.
OK, what are the criteria for 'correct'?
Sorry if I am being think,

Ben
