 | FCPX playback on decklink
by Edward Stevens on Jun 20, 2012 at 4:23:44 pm |
I have downloaded the FCPX trial ver. In help it say to go to Preferences, playback and choose
Playback Device. It is not there. Also there is supposed to be an A/V output setting in FCPX WINDOW.
It is not there.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Edward,
It would sound like the FCPX trial is maybe either based around an earlier version that did not have third party hardware support, or these features are just simply not available in the trial version. If there is an option to update the trial I would suggest trying to do so.
But certainly in the full version with the latest updates you would have these options.

I think you also need to be running 10.7. I'm still on 10.6.8 and don't have that option on FCPX 10.0.5.

Correct,
Lion (10.7.x) or higher only as the core media components required to work do not exist in the earlier OS's.
