any FCP genius out there?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to capture the VGA feed from a PC graphics card to my Black Magic Decklink HD Extreme DVI input that is installed on my Mac Pro. I use a VGA to DVI converter, but it seems not to work...

According to the BlackMagic support team, "in order to be able to capture the video coming from the graphics card, the DVI output must be a TV resolution. If it is outputting a monitor resolution like 1024x768, this will not work and the DeckLink card will not see this. It must be outputting a TV resolution like 1920x1080 or 1280x720 in order for this to work."

Is there anyone with high editing skills that knows how to solve this problem?

First off, thanks for your response, and I'm sorry, I meant an HDMI input.

The Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme 2 that I have has HDMI inputs apparently (Model#BDLKHDEXT2). I actually just bought this converter...
