Re: UltraScope on Ikan V8000 by Bob Zelin on Oct 23, 2009 at 11:28:41 pm
the answer to all your questions is NO. I urge you to download the manual for the Ultrascope and READ IT, or you will fail miserably.
The Ikan V8000 is a video monitor, it is not a computer monitor with a DVI input. So you cannot use this.
the Ultrascope requires a specific computer, with a specific graphics card for it to work. It requires a DVI computer monitor that will display 1920x1200. And no, you cannot just select one vectorscope display - you see them all, or nothing.
If you don't do everything I told you in this reply, you will spend $660 for an Ultrascope, and nothing will work.

hi,Bob Zelin.
thank you for your reply.
"you cannot just select one vectorscope display - you see them all, or nothing."
thank you.it is the information I want.
"The Ikan V8000 is a video monitor."
yes,it is videomonitor.
threfore,I will test DONW CONVERTER.
DOWN CONVERTER (ex.xpc-4) can convert DVI(1980x1200) to RCA(640x486).
DOWN CONVERTER acts the computer monitor(DVI1980x1200).
I think that I can conect ultrascope to V8000 with DOWN CONVERTER.
but,donw converted disply is ugly.
and, ultrascop is "all display mode only".
