Decklink Studio-No component output signal
by Michael Tate Jones on Jun 2, 2009 at 4:36:26 pm

Having an issue with my Decklink Studio card. My Beta Deck is telling me there is no input detected through the component connections coming from the Decklink card. I can capture video from the Beta deck just fine, however when I attempt to make a dub from my Final Cut Pro timeline the Beta Deck shows 'No Input' after pressing play/record. I've double checked all my audio/video settings in Final Cut and in the system preferences.

The problem just recently surfaced (It was working fine last week). The problem started after I patched in an old VHS deck through the S-Video connection on the back of the Beta Deck. After capturing the video off the VHS tape I disconnected the VHS deck and plugged everything back in exactly the way it was before. I find this problem confusing because I never touched the component connections at all. I'm a fairly technology savvy guy, but this one has got me stumped.

The only conclusion I can come to is that it's a hardware issue with the Decklink Studio card.

Hi,

Is you connect the output of the card to a monitor, do you get picture?

Is there a input selector switch on the Betacam deck given you were using S-Video previously?
