Hi,
I am working with a small Tv Station that broadcasts sports events.
We regularaly get international live feeds which we want to put commentary on and send it live to our customers...
Input
SDI (PAL) with Audio 1&2 IT.
Output
SDI (PAL) with Audio 1&2 IT AND 3&4 PGM(Commentary Mixed with IT)
So we de-embed audio, mix the audio and embed the audio into SDI again.
Can the Multibridge do this in one step?(YES PLEASE)
OR would we need two Multibridges? What about SDIVideo?
OR miniConverter (stereo AES/EBU) + SDI OUT, mix Audio, And embed Audio with SDIVideo from miniconverter on multibridge ?
OR There is a software solution that can do this with two decklink cards... (and also mix some video in there.....)

Hi,
ok. To be more precise: we receive a satellite live feed of a sports event. we put some graphics on the video, and we mix the audio (IT) with our own live commentary => PGM, which is then directly broadcast (live).
The Audio part includes these steps:
1) we receive the feed which is SDI with embedded audio (channel 1&2 = IT; 3&4 may be commentary but we discard it, because we do our own commentary)
2) Audio is de-embedded : channel 1&2 (IT)
3) Audio is then mixed with live commentary (PGM)
4) Both the original IT audio channels AS WELL as the new mixed PGM Audio channels are then embedded in SDI AS channels 1&2 IT and 3&4 PGM.
5) This is stored to Digital Betacam
& also Video and Audio 3&4 (PGM) is broadcast via Satellite & Internet Live streaming.
We keep the IT Audio to later make highlight cuts, trailers, etc.
So the question is:
Is the BM Multibridge capable of de-embedding audio from SDI, and simultaneously embedding other audio into SDI???
IE Input SDI(Video + Audio)->disambedding,embedding audio->Ouput SDI (Video and different Audio)
(Im thinking of this, because the device has multiple audio ins & outs)
OR
can the multibridge only work in one modus at a time i.e. embed external audio in SDI, or de-embed it.
In that case two multibridges (or maybe a miniconverter and a multibridge) are needed for what we are doing.
Just to clarify: At the moment we rent a whole LE room with a cutter and an audio engeineer and lots of equipment, and its rather expensive.

It's one single path at one time. So a signal is going in...and then it's being spit back out...well wait a minute...
Have you tried hooking it up via USB to a Mac or PC and using their configuration utility? If not, do that and see if you can activate the different inputs and outs to specific signal flows. You might be able to configure it to do that...but you need the software. It's on their website and it's free.
