DeckLink and Windows 2008 - cannot see video capture device
by Jan Chvojka on Aug 27, 2008 at 4:04:06 pm

Hello.

I have DeckLink card installed in server with Windows server 2008 Web Edition x64 and 2 GB ram. I want to use windows media encoder to grab video from DeckLink card and send it to the streaming server. But in WME I cannot see DeckLink capture device. In computer display settings I have only one screen. In device manager everything seems to be OK. In system logs is nothing.

Is it possible to install DeckLink card to computer with Windows 2008 x64? What should I do to see Decklink video/audio capture in windows media encoder? Installing the latest DeckLing drivers (ver. 6.7.2) is not enough.

Sorry for my english. I will appreciate any response.

Thanks, Jan

Hi Jan,

We don't support Windows server 2008 as yet and so have not been testing on this platform. It's possible that there are incompatibilities which we are not aware of with Windows Server 2008.
