i'm currently editing and color correcting in DVCPRO HD 1080i60 and ProRes with the following setup:
Mac Pro with Kona 3
HDLink to 23" Apple Cinema Display
i'm thinking about building a second editing suite that wont have to capture, but will still need to color correct. will the BM Intensity to the Dell 2408WFP 24" via HDMI produce a similar high quality result as the Kona 3 to HDLink to ACD? or is Decklink Extreme to HDLink to Dell the way to go? can the Intensity display 2k from Color or only 1080i?
thanks

the Decklink Extreme has an analog HD output. This can go directly into the Y Pb Pr inputs of the Dell 2408WFP, and will look very nice without buying anything else. This will NOT display a 2K image.
The Apple 23" cinema display will not display a 2k image. If you want a 2k image, the the HDLinkPro and an Apple 30" display.
All of these examples you mention will look about the same. The Kona 3 thru an HD Link into an Apple 23" DVI port will look the same as a Kona 3 (or Blackmagic Extreme) into a 2408 Y Pb Pr analog HD input.

Hi again.
Actually i have multibridge pro 2 and i could connect it with hdmi but it does not give me 2x oversize PAL as i see it. This is why i asked about HDLink Pro.
Annother question is how to adjust Dell as out of the box they have really insane brightness and contrast levels and you could get really nice sun burn in front of them. This is why i have tryed to ask it with LUT's how to calibrate LCD with HDLink to get reasonable results for color correcting etc. No results for that question yet.
