Intensity Pro output
by Dave Bergan on Aug 12, 2008 at 8:44:18 pm

Hello,

I am wondering something about my Intensity Pro output. I am working with FCP 6.0.4, on a early 2008 quad core mac, OSX 10.5.4, Quicktime 7.5, and my monitor is a consumer brand Toshiba LCD HDTV. When I monitor HD material, both through the HDMI and component outputs, it is stretched vertically a little bit. NTSC output is not. Since both square and non-square HD material act the same, and the NTSC material isn't stretched, I am thinking my monitor will only will accurately display NTSC pixel aspect ratio. I don't see anything in the Intensity Pro settings that might adjust for this.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Dave

Hi Dave,

We seen some displays stretch or even crop out a full res HD video picture sent via HDMI so your Toshiba display might be doing something similar. Have you tried any other displays?

Hi Kristain

Thanks for the info. I haven't yet tried any other displays but will when I get the opportunity.
