Hi.
I wonder if somebody has the experience with newer drivers if audio input 2 analogue channels can
be mapped as inputs for sountrac pro.
Today i only managed to record as log and capture only without video.
I have sync and video feed from my beta sp.
Ideally i would like to record to STP.

Hi Margus,
Multibridge and DeckLink cards require that you capture video with audio because they are fundamentally SDI products where audio is embedded in the video signal. If there is no video, there is nothing to carry the audio. SoundTrack Pro does not capture video so you can't use it to capture audio with a Multibridge. You can play back audio with SoundTrack Pro and your Multibridge and we have an old support note about that on our website named Can I use SoundTrack Pro™ with DeckLink cards?.

Hi.
Yes i use STP all the time with Multibridge and it is perfect.
Would it be in theory possible to make driver that just takes audio and map it to system ? With FCP now i capture just audio and only 1 track and have no video at all. So i wonder if it would be possible to capture just audio like that. generally i see that it should be possible to get audio out of sdi so to say and send video to NULL device. I assume that sync and ref (component blank) video is inserted but only audio is captured.
Would this be possible in theory?
I underestand that it would need a lot of programming and R&D but i wonder if it would be possible in theory.
My goal would be to skip additional audio devices in my studio as possible :)

Hi Margus,
Yes, I'm pretty sure that would be possible in theory although one never knows until you try! I know we've received this suggestion before so I'll raise it again with the engineers to see if we could add audio-only support.
