Hello...

I want to purchase the blackmagic multibridge pro...
but i'm a bit confused here...

is it also a capture card or do you have to buy a decklink card seperate to
capture video with the multibridge...

At the store they told me it's a capture card as well as a bidirectional convertor...
But when i read the manual, they say you have to connect the multibridge to the
decklink capture card??????

i'm lost here...

can anybody give me the answer please

thanx in advance

Hi,

The Multibridge Pro is both a capture/playback device as well as a converter.

It comes with a PCI-Express adapter card (4 lane) that is installed into your Mac Pro, then connected to the Multibridge Pro via our PCI Express cable. In this mode, Multibridge Pro is just like a capture card in your system.

When the PCI Express cable is disconnected, Multibridge Pro becomes a converter and is controlled via a software utility and a simple USB connection.
