HDLink DOA?
by Mathieu Marano on Jun 5, 2008 at 10:38:19 am

Hi,
I have a HDLink (not pro) that won't let any signal go thru. I send 1080PsF23.98 to the Cinetal and everything os ok. Then I take the cable, unplug from the Cinetal, plug into the HDLink and...nothing. My HDLink is pluged in my Panasonic plasma TV via HDMI.

I also have a HDLink Pro in another room. It's plugged in single link HD-SDI and feeds an LCD monitor. I tried to change the HDLink for the HDLink Pro but it didn't work either.

Any clue?

Hi Mathieu,

What is the status of the LED lights on the HDLink?

Does the HDLink Utility respond when you connect a host computer via USB to the unit?

Yes it does. The red LED flashes and I have access to the 1D LUT thru the HDLink Utility. But I can't gat the signal through like I do with the HDLink Pro .

Hi Mathieu

The HDLink and the HDLink Pro do not support as many formats over HDMI as they do over DVI-D. Please look at the supported HD formats here:
http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/hdlink/techspecs/

The formats for HDMI are:
1080i50, 1080i59.94, 1080i60, 720p50, 720p59.94 and 720p60.

Have you tried plugging your HDLink into a DVI-D display while playing 23.98psf ?
