Is it possible to capture analog on a Extreme HD?
by Derrick van Niekerk on May 20, 2008 at 6:27:57 pm

Hi there,

I have a DeckLink Extreme HD (purchased in Dec '07).

Do I have to have a SDI signal coming into the device, or is there a way to capture from composite signal? (RCA, i have a converter plug from RCA - to the connectors used on the card and breakout cable)

I want to capture some old family video tapes for a friend to write them to DVD?

thanks for your help
- Derrick

Use the "Y" cable of the component input and hook that up to your VCR with proper adaptor. Then set your Decklink System preference pane to composite input.
