Downscaling Output while capturing from Intensity Pro
by Cody Miller on May 17, 2008 at 9:32:27 pm

The feature to downconvert HD video to SD from the outputs of the Intensity Pro works fine when playing back video in FCP and sequences, but doesn't seem to work properly while in the capture window or while capturing. I simply get blocks and bands of color, although they do somewhat represent the video (they change when the video changes).

Input is 720p59.94 over component, and output is over component to an SD television.

OS X 10.5.2, FCP 6.0.3, Intensity 1.8.4.

Any idea what might be wrong?

interesting, because I have the reverse. During capture from a HDV deck (1080i) I get SD component monitoring on my NTSC monitor. but during playback in Premiere CS3, I get no SD downconverted output via component, despite having set this in the control panel.
