Decklink SP PCI-E issues
by agarrish on Apr 1, 2007 at 7:38:23 pm

Hello,

I have just installed a new Decklink SP PCI-E card in the 4th PCI-E slot. I have 2GB of ram in my MacPro. The expansion slot utility says the "unknown video card" is running at maximum speed (x1).

My problem is that if I use any BM easy set-up in FCP and try to open the log & capture window, FCP immediately crashes, every time.

If I use the NTSC-DV easy set-up, I can open the log and capture window and change the device control and capture/input settings but I still am not getting a signal.

I have tried uninstalling the decklink drivers, repairing disk permissions and reinstalling them with no luck.

I read another post here on the cow that stated there was a known bug when running over 2GB of ram for this card. However I only have 2GB of ram but am having serious issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron

Mac Pro 2x2.66GHz
2GB Ram
FCP 5.0.4
OSX 10.4.8

Hi,

Please contact use via the support email address at support[at]blackmagic-design.com. Make sure you include the Final Cut Pro crash log as well as a copy of your system profile (in XML format). Thanks. Hopefully, the crash log will give us an idea of what's happening.

Have you tried using Blackmagic Deck Control and do you have any issues?

regards
