Composite Output from DeckLink HD Extreme?
by Steve C on Feb 2, 2007 at 2:19:52 pm

Basically the Subject says it all.

I need to get a composite signal out of my DeckLink HD Extreme so I can make a VHS for a client.

My component output is going to my LCD Monitor, I don't have any decks connected that I can take a composite signal out of to feed the VHS.

the only thing I have hooked up is a consumer Mini DV camera and an LCD monitor for visual reference.

Thanks;

If you are lazy to unhook the COMPONENT then do following...

1. If video is DV then: Firewire to DV camera -> DV Camera Composite -> VHS

2. If video is SD then: Down convert to DV in FCP by nesting original edit into DV timeline, go to step 1.

3. If video is HD then: Goto to step 2.
