Hi.

It is a bit confusing for me how to use VANC.
Does Premiere support it ?

At the moment i have it turned of.

If i turn it on then 3 lines will be added to my files.

If Prem pro supports VANC meybe then it would be possible
maintain timecode in files even if i convert to MJPG ?

Hi,

We take the require lines and write it into the first 3 lines of the captured pixel and write them back out to VANC on output. Support for this is built in by us and not Premiere as our drivers have to reinterpret the data in the picture lines.

Nope. Premiere will not see the data.

Ok. Thanks.

Is there eny way to maintain original timecode when i
convert from uncompressed to MJPG.
I capture from digibeta and get the same timecode as on tape which i
need in my work.
But it seems to mee that afrer chanching compression method i'll
loos timecode data. This is the main reason i started to ask about vanc.
